    Dr. Imran Batada SignsContract with NAVTTC for Free High-Tech Courses

    Dr. Imran Batada, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Director Center For Information Technology (CIT) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi has signed a contract with NAVTTC. “This program holds a special place in my heart as I had the opportunity to work on the PC1 document for this initiative,” Dr. Batada said on the occasion.

    These courses will be provided free of cost to the youth, paving the way for increased remote job opportunities and a growing community of freelancers. By directly impacting the GDP of Pakistan, this initiative has proven to be instrumental in moving our country in the right direction and building the capacity of our youth.

     This marks the 4th Round of Hightech courses. The previously initiated programs by NAVTTC have made a transformative impact on individuals, empowering them with valuable skills and opening doors to new economic opportunities.

    In addition to remote jobs, freelancing is another viable option for young people in Pakistan looking for flexible work opportunities. Freelancing is a form of self-employment where individuals work on a project basis for multiple clients. Freelancers can work from anywhere in the world, as long as they have the necessary skills and tools.

    IoBM’s CTO & Director CIT Dr. Imran Batada papers titled “Impact of Skill Development Program for producing Women Entrepreneurs in Pakistan” has been accepted by the Journal of Education and Educational Development (HEC Recognized Journal).

    The study has shown that training programs initiated by the Pakistan government such as BBSHRRDB (Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource Research and Development Board) and NAVTTC (National Vocational and Technical Training Commission) have significantly ignited the interest of young women in getting involved in entrepreneurship activities.

    The results of this study confirm that training programs play a key role in the advancement of women entrepreneurs through support from the government, donor agencies, banks, and chambers of commerce.
